    The DearBaby™ website was developed to allow customers to be able to (1) browse and preview our pre-loved baby products & (2) shop online for a wide range of new & quality baby products.

  • Buying Pre-loved

    Pre-loved products that DearBaby™ is currently holding in-store are listed under the respective browsing categories. Through this online catalogue, customers can browse for what they want, get additional information and a preview of those items. As the selection of products being featured will be constantly updated when new trade-ins are processed, do check back often for good bargains.

    • Slight imperfections, if any, will be highlighted, in the respective product’s detailed description.
    • If you find any products that you are interested in, we will like to invite you to come down to our store to physically check out the items first. Being able to touch, feel and test out the items will ensure that different customers’ expectations can be matched and misunderstandings of any sorts are minimised.     • However, if you are fully satisfied with what you see and would like to go ahead and buy the pre-loved item, simply proceed to add the item your shopping cart and check out as normal.

     

    Cleanliness

    All pre-loved products are cleansed, where applicable, with child friendly food-grade cleansers before we put them on display and periodically when they are on display. You can also request for cleaning again at the point of sale for your peace of mind. All pre-loved children apparels are required to be freshly laundered at the point of trade-in and carefully checked before being put on display.

     

    Return & Exchange Policy
    • To avoid any unnecessary disagreements, all pre-loved items sold are not returnable. Exchanges will be allowed with valid reason (i.e. wrong sizes) within 7 days of purchase.
    • DearBaby™ will like to assure all customers that each and every piece of pre-loved product, having met our stringent trade-in requirements, is in the condition that we will want our own child to wear or use. In fact, if due care and effort is taken to maintain the items, many pre-loved products may very well be traded back to us and shared again!

  • Buying New Stuff

    DearBaby™ carries a wide range of new baby and children products that we have found to be trusted and recommended by parents for their excellent designs and quality of build. When you are unable to find that specific toy, book or other items that you want in the available pre-loved selection, just remember that we may just have it brand new as well! We understand that with the little ones, some things just cannot wait. Just remember that you can always share the love later on by trading in your gently-used items.

    • Browse new products either by our intuitive categories or by brands.
    • Click on the ‘Product Details’ or the item’s image for more information and images.
    • Adjust quantity required & click ‘Add to Cart’ to have the item(s) placed into your online shopping cart.
    • Click on ‘Shopping Cart’ at the extreme right of the top menu bar at anytime to view or amend what you have added. Click on ‘Checkout’ on the bottom right of the screen to proceed with payment.
    • If you are shopping with us for the first time, please ensure that you provide us with a valid contact number and address during registration for delivery purposes.


    Backorder Items

    Selected items listed on the webstore are not kept in ready-stock (most of the time) and available only on a back-order basis due to space constraint at our brick & mortar shop. You can continue to add these new products to cart and purchase them as mentioned above with the following distinctions:

    • Item availability - As we do not hold physical stock of these products, their availability needs to be verified with our suppliers. We will usually get back to you within 1 working day after the order has been received.
    • Refund - In the unfortunate event that the product(s) on backorder is out of stock, the payment received for that item will be refunded in 1 working day. The refund will be made in the same mode of the original payment.
    • Delivery - Delivery for backorder items will typically take a few days longer due to the additional administrative requirements to get those items ready for delivery. You will be informed accordingly on the projected delivery schedule once the item is confirmed as available.


    Payment Methods

    Online payments can be made and processed through your PayPal account or using your Credit Card - Visa, Mastercard, or Amex. (through paypal but NO paypal account is required) Based on your feedback, payment by local bank fund transfer is also now available! In fact, we'll be giving you an additional S$0.50 discount for payments processed through this option. Detail instructions and account information to make payment to will be provided to you when checkout is completed. Kindly note that your order is not completed until payment is received and stock availability may change if payment is delayed.



    Warranties, Return & Exchange Policy
    • Some new products may come with a manufacturer’s warranty. For additional information on the manufacturer's warranty for a specific product, please contact the manufacturer directly.
    • New items may be returned within 7 days for exchange with no questions asked provided the product is not opened, is returned in its original packaging and comes with its original purchase receipt with the EXCEPTION for back-ordered items that is not returnable or refundable.
    • New items that are damaged or defective can be returned within 7 days for exchange if it comes with its original purchase receipt and packaging.
    • We regret that delivery charges are not refundable.
    • Products that are recalled by manufacturers will be gladly accepted for return by DearBaby™ as long as the item is accompanied by the original purchase receipt.

  • Shipping and Deliveries

    At DearBaby™, customers have a choice of either doing self-collection from our store or paying just S$5 for standard local delivery to their doorstep! Plus, we are pleased to announce that delivery charges to residential addresses will be waived for orders that are:

    • More than S$100 nett or
    • Delivered to the following areas: Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Commonwealth, Dover, Queenstown & Telok Blangah with a minimum order of S$30 nett
    • (Note: Kindly select the appropriate free shipping option during checkout.)

    Commercial Addresses/Addresses in Central Business District - A small surcharge may be applicable. Feel free to give us a call or email to confirm if any surcharge is applicable for your location.

    Urgent/Night/Specific Delivery Requests - Please contact us directly for separate arrangements. Additional charges may be applicable to cover the additional costs to meet your requests.

    Redelivery - A surcharge of $10 is applicable for local redelivery if no one is around to receive the initial delivery on the date & time that has been arranged together with you.

    Typically, local deliveries for small packages takes 1-3 days while bulky items/large packages takes between 2-5 days for standard deliveries (working weekdays between 10am to 5pm). We are proud to share that over 70% of all local deliveries are completed within 2 working days!

     


  • Trading In Pre-loved Items (Currently Suspended; we are in the process of reviewing the trade-in process.)

    • DearBaby™ is always on the lookout for good quality baby and children products, clothes and toys that you will like to share other parents out there.
    • Items to be traded-in should meet our basic requirements as stated in our Trade-in Guide below. We also wish to highlight that we are more likely to accept products from well-known and reputable brands due to quality and safety considerations.
    • We seek your kind understanding that due to safety, operational and/or business considerations, we reserve the right to be selective of the items acceptable for trade-in.

  • How does it Work?

    Trade-In Guide
    1. Seek out and consolidate the stuff that your child no longer uses and is lying around the house or sitting in some storage containers.
    2. Ensure that the item meets the our requirements as follows:
      General
      • Clean
      • Gently-Used (No excessive wear, & tear/fading etc)
      • In working condition with no missing parts (if applicable)
      • Of a locally well-known brand
      Specifically for pre-loved clothing:
      • Ensure that there are no stains, odour or missing buttons etc
      • Wash it
      • Group sets together

    4. Bring the items down to our store for a final evaluation and offer.
    5. Accept BabyDollars™ offered and receive our BabyDollars™ Membership FREE or an automatic extension to your current membership.
    6. Your item will then be put up for sale at DearBaby™ for the benefit of other parents.

    For customers with a large number of pre-loved items to trade-in, we can also provide on-site quotation if required. Please note that we will have to charge a nominal fee of S$5 for transportation regardless of the amount of trade-in accepted.

    The amount of BabyDollars™ offered for your pre-loved items by DearBaby™ is determined by the following factors:

    • General condition of item (Cleanliness, degree of wear & tear, etc)
    • Availability of original receipt, packaging and instructions
    • Estimated retail price for item as determined by DearBaby™
    • Demand for the pre-loved item as determined by DearBaby™

  • BabyDollars™ Membership

    The BabyDollars™ membership is DearBaby™ rewards program and our way of saying thanks to all our loyal customers. All members receive additional rebates when making purchases and are entitled to special buys and promotions.


  • How Does It Work?

    Members receive BabyDollars™ when they trade-in items and receive rebates for all their purchases with us. The list of members’ specials and deals that DearBaby™ is listed under the “Great Deals > BabyDollars™ Deals” section.

    Privileges

    BabyDollars™ membership privileges are summarised as follows:

    • Receive 12% rebates in BabyDollars™ for purchases of regular priced items
    • Receive 3% rebates in BabyDollars™ for purchases of discounted/sales items (including BabyDollars™ redeemed items)
    • BabyDollars™ Members’ Exclusive Deals (No rebates will be issued)

    For online purchases, please quote your BabyDollars™ membership ID in the comments during checkout and your latest rebates earned (plus updated balances) will be processed and sent to your registered email account upon verification.



    Purchase Redemption

    One BabyDollar™ is equivalent to one Singapore dollar(SGD) and it can be redeemed fully against any regular-priced purchases at DearBaby™ except for shipping charges.

    For example: If you have a BabyDollars™ balance of B$20.00, and wish to purchase an item at a regular price of S$15.00. You may redeem the full price of the item which will leave you with a BabyDollars™ balance of B$5.00.

    Partial Redemption - If your BabyDollars™ balance is not sufficient to pay for the full price of the item that you want, you can simply top up the balance with cash. You will continue to accrue a 3% rebate for the amounts paid in cash!

    For example: If you have a BabyDollars™ balance of $20.00, and wish to purchase an item at a regular price of S$100.00. You simply top up the difference of $80.00 in cash. You will also receive rebates of B$2.40 BabyDollars™ for the $80.00 paid in cash.

    Online Redemption – To redeem your BabyDollars™ for online purchases, simply email us the details of your order at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.     Validity & Expiry

    All BabyDollars™ memberships are valid for 1 year from the date of you join us. It will automatically be extended for another 6 months from the date of your last trade-in.

    There is NO expiry date to your BabyDollars™ as long as your membership remains valid. BabyDollars™ forfeited due to a lapse of membership will be consolidated annually and donated to a charity of our choice.

  • Become a BabyDollars™ Member Today!

    NO membership fees are required! There are 3 easy ways to qualify for application to become a BabyDollars™ member:

    • Accumulate S$400 worth of purchases within 3 months.
    • Accumulate S$200 worth of a mix of new and pre-loved purchase within 3 months.
    • Accumulate S$100 worth of pre-loved purchase within 3 months.

    *All BabyDollars™ membership are subjected to application and approval. Rebates will be issued only from the point of application and on a per receipt basis.

    Loss of Membership Card

    Any loss of BabyDollars™ membership cards has to be reported immediately to prevent any misuse of your BabyDollars™ balance. We will not be liable for any losses resulting from the loss of the card up to the point that it was reported and acknowledged as follows:
